Whole fruits are candied and are preserved in sugar syrup with mustard seed oil. Sperlari Mostarda di Frutta contains candied cherries, figs, apricots and pears packed in a natural syrup and mustard oil.
The taste is sweet, yet slightly warm.
Makes a perfect condiment for smoked or dried meats as well as Italian cheeses. Mostarda is a typical specialty of Northern Italy – especially Cremona.
Ingredients: candied fruit in variable proportions ((pears, peaches, apricots, mandarins, cherries, figs, contains SULFUR DIOXIDE), glucose-fructose syrup, sugar, acidity regulator (citric acid), coloring (E127)), sugar syrup glucose, sugar, flavouring, acidity regulators (tartaric acid, citric acid).
