Baltic herring pickled with onions and carrots with a traditional Scandinavian recipe, known as 'inlagd sill' in Sweden, 'lasimestarin silli' in Finland.
In Scandinavia, herring is traditionally eaten at most big traditions such as on Midsummer, Christmas and Easter and is an essential dish in any Scandinavian smörgåsbord buffet. Delicious with boiled potatoes, sour cream, chopped chives, crisp bread and schnapps.
